Sapo.pt Android Setup Procedure

In the below step-by-step process, you will be able to setup your Sapo.pt email on any Android version on your phone. This Sapo setup process may vary by Android version, but it mostly works on all Android devices.

  1. Open Gmail App
    Open an email or Gmail app from your Android app list.
  2. Add Account
    If you already have other email accounts in this app, go to the menu from the top 3 lines and tap settings. Click Add Account to add your Sapo mail settings.
  3. Enter Email
    Select the other last option on the Set up email page, then enter your Sapo.pt full email address and click the Manual Setup button located at the bottom.
  4. Select Protocol
    Select the Personal (IMAP) account from the list and enter your Sapo email password.
  5. Add Incoming Server Settings Detail
    Username: Your Sapo email address is your username
    Password: Your account password
    IMAP server: imap.sapo.pt
    Security type: No
    Port: 143
    Click Next Button
  6. Add Outgoing Server Settings Detail
    Username: Your Sapo email address is your username
    Password: Your account password
    SMTP server: smtp.sapo.pt
    Port: 25
    Security type: No
    Click Next Button
  7. Sapo Account Options
    Choose an email check frequency (preferably every 15 minutes) or Leave it as is and press the next button.
  8. Sapo Account Name
    Give your Sapo account name and your name, but this is an optional setting. Press Done.
  9. Done
    Congratulations, Now you can send and receive Sapo.pt email on your Android device.
