  1. Open Gmail App
    Open an email or Gmail app from your Android app list.
  2. Add Account
    If you already have other email accounts in this app, go to the menu from the top 3 lines and tap settings. Click Add Account to add your Albany mail settings.

    Select the Personal (IMAP) account from the list and enter your Albany email password.
  5. Add Incoming Server Settings Detail
    Username: Your Albany email address is your username
    Password: Your account password
    IMAP server: imap.albany.edu
    Security type: No
    Port: 143
    Click Next Button
  6. Add Outgoing Server Settings Detail
    Username: Your Albany email address is your username
    Password: Your account password
    SMTP server: smtp.albany.edu
    Port: 25
    Security type: No
    Click Next Button
  7. Albany Account Options
    Choose an email check frequency (preferably every 15 minutes) or Leave it as is and press the next button.
  8. Albany Account Name
    Give your Albany account name and your name, but this is an optional setting. Press Done.
  9. Done
    Congratulations, Now you can send and receive Albany.edu email on your Android device.
